This is really good, but I don't agree with your interpretation of Unahona. She seems too sadistic: I saw her more as thoroughly absorbed in her own world of blood sprays and steel, constantly trying to perfect her techniques to counteract her own boredom, unlike Zaraki, who handicaps himself to get some enjoyment out of lesser foes victims.
